Touchings is a performance/installation scheme that seeks to explore the correlation between actions, objects and the built environment.

For the duration of each three hour performance/installation I touched random points on the interior surfaces of the Eyelevel Gallery's window space. Masking tape was used to mark each place that any part of my body touched and the end of each performance a material indication of my movement within the space and the places where I came into contact with its surfaces remained.

In Touchings, Variation 2 tape segments were used to mark the points I touched. The cumulative result of this installation was small fragments of tape built up on the defining surfaces (window, floor, wall, ceiling) of the window space.

Touchings, Variation 1 and 2 were performed as part of Eyelevel Gallery's Hotter Than July performance series.
