In The blind pale distances, simple linear assemblies made with text, drawing, and small objects refer to visual and physical barriers that limit sight and bodily movement. They establish the position of the viewer in relation to an imagined interloper, formalizing notions of isolation and encounter in an effort to consider the affect of their imposition and the potential of nearness.
